This is my second year in a row coming to Japan and Tokyu Stay Gotanda once again being a main hotel for my near 4 week holiday. I’m not the type of person that needs to stay within popular places such as Shibuya, Ginza or Asakusa. Tokyu Stay Gotanda is located pretty much a minute walk from Gotanda station where you can get the Yamanote Line. The Yamanote line is one of the most popular train lines for first timers to Tokyo as in does a clock wise and anti clockwise route of Tokyo’s more popular wards. You can also use the Asakusa line to get to Senso-Ji or get off at the last stop which is conveniently Tokyo Skytree. I also found Gontanda station to be very easily accessible from both Narita and Haneda airport. From Narita just take the Narita Express to Shinagawa station and transfer to the Yamanote line and get off on the 2nd stop. From Haneda just take the Monorail to Hamamatsuchō station then again transfer onto the Yamanote line and get off on the 5th stop. With that being said. Based off my time in Gotanda I guess you can consider Gotanda is a working ward. You wouldn’t see many tourists here. It will get busy during normal rush hours such as 8-9am when people start work. 11:30-1pm when people have lunch. 3-6ish pm when students and workers finish work. There is also a lot of places to eat in Gotanda. From what I can gather most workers tend to finish work, eat in Gotanda then head off home. So if you’re not into crowds much like me then avoid transportation during those times and maybe avoid eating lunch or dinner around those times because most places will be busy. But still Gotanda is a very nice place. In terms of the hotel itself. It’s nothing too fancy which I have no problems either. The room itself isn’t actually that small and is pretty spacious for Tokyo standards. The main selling point for me for Tokyu Stay is that you have access to your own 2 in 1 washer/dryer. This allowed me to doing laundry whenever I wanted to.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tokyu Stay Gotanda, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process. The room was impeccably clean and well-appointed, with modern amenities that made my stay extremely comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the in-room washer and dryer, which added a level of convenience that is rare to find in hotels. The bed was comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the room was both cozy and contemporary. Location-wise, Tokyu Stay Gotanda is perfectly situated. It's just a short walk from Gotanda Station, making it incredibly easy to explore Tokyo. There are plenty of great dining options and shops nearby, so you'll never run out of things to do or places to eat. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Our family had 2 rooms and stayed for 5 days. Definitely it’s convenient, it’s juz nxt to 2 train line - The Yamanote Line & Asakusa Line Keisei Sakura. Remote easily to all cities and thru & fro airports. Staffs are friendly and helpful especially, able to converse in English we are foreigners n not able to speak Japanese. Hv arranged 2 large luggage fm our cities to Tokyu Stay Gotanda and hv arranged to place them in our hotel room way b4 we checked in. As we arranged early at noon there’re unable to check in and we placed our luggage at the conceige. And they hv them delivered to our rooms straight when we were bk in the evening Though one of our room’s toilet seems to choke on the fourth day, the staff actually provide another room’s key for us to use the toilet inside. 7 eleven, Lawson, small eateries & Donki juz along the street.

Well located near Gotanda Station with step-free access at selected exits. Restaurants, pharmacies, and convenience stores within walking distance. Also a short walk to Don Quijote. We liked the washing machine (also doubles as a tumble dryer) which also came with liquid laundry detergent, and that we could loan electronic devices from the front desk (e.g. ionic hair dryer, hair straightener). Daily housekeeping involved a towel replacement and re-lining of bins, which is sufficient as the rooms are generally small. Check-in and check-out was straightforward and quick. Hotel staff also helped us with storing our bags after check-out before our evening flight.

upgraded to a bigger room, which is worth the price. very spacious. I appreciate how there's a free washer/dryer in each room to use for convenience of washing clothes. The location is fantastic. Very close to the station and easy to walk to the hotel with big luggage. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They only do towel changing and garbage disposal daily which was fine with us. Location of the hotel too is nearby popular places like Harajuku and Shibuya just a few stops away on the train.
